We're creating beautiful native plant gardens at Bay View Park that serve a dual purpose: providing essential habitat for pollinators while naturally managing stormwater runoff. These carefully selected native plants will enhance one of Alpena's beloved green spaces, support bees and butterflies, and filter rainwater before it reaches Lake Huron—helping protect our community's clean water for generations to come.

What You'll Do: Roll up your sleeves and help us plant native plugs that will bloom into vibrant gardens supporting bees, butterflies and other pollinators. No gardening experience necessary – just bring your enthusiasm for making Alpena more beautiful and ecologically healthy!
