North Point Nature Preserve Exploration Day
Join for an afternoon of exploration at North Point Nature Preserve. Located east of Alpena, North Point Nature Preserve is home to 1,384 acres of forested wetlands, four miles of undeveloped shoreline and rare ecosystems found only along the Great Lakes.

Dr. Gordon McBean is a world-renowned climate scientist. He is currently Professor Emeritus in Geography and Environment at Western University and with the Institute of Catastrophic Loss Reduction. His presentation will focus on how to build climate resilience and protect our ecosystems in the face of climate change.

Volunteer Piping Plover Monitoring Kick-off
Join Huron Pines as we expand our network of piping plover monitors for the upcoming monitoring season (May through August). This kickoff event welcomes both seasoned monitors and newcomers interested in contributing to conservation efforts along the Lake Huron coastline.
