This summer, Lake Huron Coastal Centre is organizing a series of beach clean-up events along the Lake Huron shoreline and you’re invited to take part. Whether you’re passionate about protecting wildlife, love spending time outdoors, or simply want to give back to your community, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact.
The goal: to engage 600 volunteers to remove 1,500 pounds of litter from the shoreline this year.
Plastic waste, food wrappers, cigarette butts, and other debris continue to accumulate along the shoreline, posing serious threats to water quality, wildlife, and public health. By joining a clean-up, you’ll help prevent litter from entering the lake, reduce risks to birds and aquatic life, and restore the natural beauty of these shared spaces.
This event is hosted by Lake Huron Coastal Centre.
